You can use one or use them all. This pattern has some backstitching and French knots (besides full cross stitches). And besides 24 usual DMC colors it also has 13 blended colors to make this delicate picture look like watercolor painting.  PLEASE NOTE: this pattern is made from the real watercolor artwork, so I had to make it difficult for some in order to save the original watercolor looking.
