This wheel-thrown tokkuri was made out of Taiwanese clay in my small pottery workshop.
I wanted to create a sake tokkuri that was unique. I distorted the clay while wet and then attached a foot that complimented the form.
At the base I left the bare clay exposed, highlighting the contrast between clay and glaze.
