The contained Giralite is named after it was discovered in Gira County, Arizona State in 1980.
As Gila Light Inquartz was found in Paraiba, Brazil in 2004, it is also called Paraiba Quartz since it resembles the color of Paraiba tourmaline. It is a rare stone that is said to have already produced.
