INNER PILE was developed using an original technology for tucking pile between two gauze surfaces. It is woven with painstaking care by artisans who are masters of the traditional shuttle loom. The material’s surface gauze is gentle to the touch, while the inner pile is highly absorbent. In addition to their use as bath towels or for washing the face, INNER PILE TOWELS have many other applications as well. They can be used as pillow covers, blankets and more. A new concept in towels: plenty of volume, yet lightweight and soft.
Buyer’s Eye: Woven on wooden looms in use for decades, these most sought-after towels could only be made by Shinto Towel. New replacement looms are no longer available. Once they wear out, production will end, which makes the towels all the more prized. They are so highly sought-after that production never quite keeps up with demand, as buyers await newly made towels.
