日常测候．让文学推荐一把适合你的伞
日常生活中，总有各种意料之外的风暴和考验，有时遭遇狂风吹袭、有时被骤雨淋湿，有时则是蒸溽的酷暑，如同台湾过去被不同政权统治，伴随着无法预测和掌握的冲击，形成台湾人压抑又复杂的历史经验。但透过文学，我们得以在多变的世界里喘息、遁逃、想像或共感，也为自己生命留下纪录。
当生活起伏如同“气象”，“改变”成为唯一的“不变”时，所幸我们还有岛屿安身立命，还有文学能寄托情感与心灵。
因此，国立台湾文学馆“拾藏：台湾文学物语”以“日常测候”为主题，将“伞”做为文学的载体，挑选蔡培火、赖和、三毛这三位台湾作家的相关藏品，发掘其中的文学内涵，以及他们对于这块岛屿的想像，设计出一系列陪伴你面对台湾多变天气的“文学之伞”，以文学构筑内心的宁静之境。
从在地出发，我们与MIT认证厂商“富雨洋伞”合作，使用台湾福懋抗UV伞布、防泼水设计和防风骨架。无论是刮风、下雨或烈日，只要开伞，我们就在一场突然的考验当中，召唤台湾文学家们面对时代、迎面向前的精神。

文学是理念引导
日本时代，台湾社会的改变如同暴风吹袭，席卷台湾人思维之际，也同时诞生了第一本以“白话字”写成的社论《CHA̍P-HĀNG KOÁN-KIÀN》（十项管见）。蔡培火为推动近代启蒙，但有感于文言汉文离民众太远，日文也不是台湾人的母语，因此选择与台湾话“言文一致”的白话字，以台语讲科学、论政治、谈文化。
伞面上的台湾图案，出自国立台湾文学馆馆藏品《CHA̍P-HĀNG KOÁN-KIÀN》的封面，并取白话字篇章标题切割重组。当现代化的暴风吹起，唤醒台湾人的语言意识，如今仍能听见台湾母语悠久的回音。抗强风骨架，将帮助你毅然前行。

Literature Shows the Way.
Cai Peihuo published his social commentary CHA̍P-HĀNG KOÁN-KIÀN (“Opinions on Ten Issues”) in the midst of Taiwan’s intellectually tumultuous Japanese Colonial Period. Seeing language as a key barrier to social enlightenment, Cai advocated adopting and using the romanized form of Pe̍h-ōe-jī (colloquial Taiwanese) instead of either Classical Chinese or Japanese in science, politics, culture, and other realms.
The image of Taiwan and the text from the chapter advocating Pe̍h-ōe-jī (POJ) printed on the face of this umbrella are reprinted from the cover of an original edition of CHA̍P-HĀNG KOÁN-KIÀN in NMTL’s archives. Contemporary Taiwanese yearnings for linguistic consciousness continue to have relevance today. This umbrella’s sturdy, wind-resistant frame will help see you through whatever lies ahead.
