“Neriage” is a technique that involves kneading together colored pottery clay that has been colored with pigments, etc., and stretching and contracting it to create patterns. This time, I wanted to express the gradation of colors that blend gently, so I created the vessel using this technique. What I aimed for was the gradation of a faint yet vivid sunset. I aimed for the color of the sky that is interwoven with blue and pink dyed by the setting sun. The pottery clay used is rough white pottery clay. You can enjoy the unique texture and feel of pottery. The glaze used is a transparent glaze that has a glossy feel but is smooth to the touch. This cup is large size and you can enjoy plenty of drinks. Although the color of the pigment can be seen inside, the main color is white, so you can enjoy the color of transparent drinks such as sencha and black tea. I would be very happy if you could spend a relaxing time while wrapping yourself in both hands. We have a small electric furnace and an electric potter's wheel at home, and all processes from clay kneading, molding, biscuit firing, glazing, and firing are done by hand. Since the patterns appear differently depending on the time, it is a one-of-a-kind piece that cannot be made exactly the same. The product you receive will be the same as the product image.
