Production numbers were limited and sold out quickly after launch as they were priced at a fraction from Panerai's similar offering of the Pam00127. Officine Panerai wasn't pleased and sent an injunction to stop them from selling this soon after which created an even stronger interest for these watches. In fact, enthusiasts consider this RXW MM20 as a more faithful reproduction of the vintage piece as story has it that Ken Sato, proprietor of Ken Trading had a few pieces of the vintage Panerai and produced them to almost exact details such as the thick solid steel back cover and the thick steel buckle.
