The nine-tailed fox has captured the king's heart and destroyed the country in India, China, and Zhou. In Japan, she approached Emperor Toba (also known as Emperor Konoe) under the name of Tamamo-no-Mae. However, onmyoji (shaman) Yasunari Abe finds out who she is and gets rid of her. After that, it turned into a sesshoseki(large stone) with a grudge and continued to spit poison. Aizu monk smashed this stone into a Buddhahood. There are many stories about this youkai in Japan. Although it is said to be a bad fox in China, it is said to be a sacred beast that shows auspicious signs during peace.
