** Normally, our brand "SMILER" is animal-friendly and we do not use genuine leather. However, for this product, we use the small scrap pieces lying around our artisan's houses from his other jobs so in a way, we are helping reducing waste. We would NEVER buy a whole new piece of leather just to make our products as we want everybody to smile more, both humans and animals :-)
