Kiichiro, the owner and designer, was born in a family of shoe stores founded in 1917, and grew up touching on outstanding manufacturing and connections with people called Motomachi Shopping Street. All the leather products of "Kiichi", which inherits the leather technology and knowledge cultivated in Kobe shoes, are made in Japan. After graduating, he experienced a merchandiser in Nagoya, and after that, he started a family business and strives daily to acquire knowledge of leather products such as shoes, leather accessories, and bags from craftsmen.

We are particular about color variations, such as the color of each color and the sense of unity of colors in consideration of balance. And, for functional beauty that considers natural movements and gestures, we think that it is important to have a unified design as a series while giving each item its own characteristics. Because it is used every day, after sample-up, we always conduct a usage test and make fine adjustments to details such as overall size, leather and gusset thickness, pocket depth and width, and opening / closing direction. Kiichi's leather products are designed with overall balance and functionality in mind.

Leather-History of Japanese leather
Tatsuno City, Hyogo Prefecture, and Himeji City are leather producing areas that boast the top share in Japan. Kobe is a blessed location for making ideal leather, which is about an hour away from that place. By visiting and expressing my thoughts many times, I was able to get the cooperation of Tanner (leather workshop). Based on our abundant experience so far, the technology to raise leather that is close to the image with an accurate manufacturing method is unique to Japanese people. Based on JIS standards, we perform tests for fastness and tear strength, and make final confirmations such as suitability for products. By making many modifications, it will be finished in a unique Kiichi original leather.
