"Raketa" (Rocket) is a brand of watches produced by Petrodvorets Watch Factory — one of the oldest factories in Russia. The company was one of the 13 largest watch factories of the Soviet Union, it had mass production of watches for personal use. The "Raketa watches produced in Petrodvorets have been exported to more than 30 countries around the world.
The first batch of watches of the brand "Raketa" was made in 1961. The brand was named after Gagarin's flight, but in Western Europe and America, the name was associated more with Soviet missile weapons.
