These two espresso cups were wheel-thrown from my small pottery workshop here in Taiwan.
I used local Taiwanese clay and then applied a shino glaze inside and down the middle of each cup. I wanted to leave a section of bare clay to show the material.
One cu has been given an indentation for interest. I believe the hand of the maker must be present. This slight altercation gives the piece a human feel.
