The two separate necklaces are composed of bright blue natural turquoise, dark blue lapis lazuli and handmade faceted small silver pieces. They are composed in a way to create opposite pattern, in one turquoise and in the other lapis is predominant.

They close with a triangular-shape toggle hook, decorated with tiny "Podduang" pattern, typical of Thai Karen hill-tribe people.
Turquoise is one of the oldest protection amulets, and was also known as a symbol of wealth and nobility in many ancient cultures, while lapis is a universal symbol of wisdom, friendship and truth.
All silver parts are hand crafted in 98% Silver by Thai Karen hill-tribe artisans.
The Karen are a group of ethnic peoples who reside primarily in southern and southeastern Burma and in northern and north-eastern Thailand. Thai and Burmese hill tribes can be traced back to the 12th century when they are said to have originated from Tibet.
The turquoise and lapis stones come from Afghanistan, where they have been sourced since ancient times.
