Cotton cloth used for clothing in African countries south of the Sahara Desert.
It is also called African batik because it is printed using a batik technique, and is characterized by its colorful and eccentric designs. We select and import directly from Kenya.
<Banshu weaving>
It is a traditional fabric from Nishiwaki City, Hyogo Prefecture, which has a history of nearly 300 years. It is a yarn-dyed woven fabric that is woven after dyeing the threads, and features a striped pattern. It is said that people in farming villages started manufacturing it as a side business during the Edo period, and it was not subject to the regulations of the Himeji clan, and the market expanded to Edo, and during the war it was also exported to Asia and Africa.
