It is a work that has been upgraded so that it intersects with each other in the image of foxtail grass and willow.
The official name of the cat jarashi is Kobigusa.
The Western name seems to be called green foxtail.
It is said that it got its name because it resembles the tail of a dog.
I also knew it for the first time.
The idea of willow came out when I learned about the existence of sake called "willow" at the same time when I was thinking about design.
In the Edo period, mirin was a sweet alcohol and was traded as a high-class drink.
Therefore, I drank a sake called "Yanagiin" mixed with cheap shochu.
In the initial concept, I was thinking of designing the image of squeezing mirin containing glucose to extract the willow shade, and the design of taking the seeds of cat jars and threshing them for food.
However, I felt that it would be a miscellaneous design, so in order to attract the beauty of cats and willows, I cut the intersecting center along those lines and applied erasing (frosted glass).
As a result, the design is neatly organized, and the goodness and luxury of the product that cannot be expressed simply by polishing are added.
The willow part is intentionally included with a fairly deep cut.
As a result, you can feel the edge of the kiriko with your fingers and experience the overwhelming goodness of the touch.
The function to give a touch is the functional beauty that leads to the design.
There is also work on the mouth.
By rubbing with an inclination on the mouth side, the mouthfeel will be very good.
This mouthfeel is different from the trendy thin glass.
I would like you to drink water when it is first used, but I think that the water tastes very good because of its good taste.
I rubbed the mouth about 10 patterns, such as rubbing in a square, rubbing without leaving a colored part, rubbing while leaving a color of 1 mm, rubbing with an arc, etc. I decided this because I thought it was best when I rubbed it.
I identified and considered the requirements when humans feel comfortable.
It is shaped to meet about three of these requirements, and I think it is a work that will surely satisfy you.
This also corresponds to the design and functional beauty as a result of pursuing functions.
A traditional chrysanthemum tie is applied between the cat jarashi and the willow.
The difficulty of cutting is very high and it takes a lot of work time, but if you add a chrysanthemum joint, the finish will be very beautiful, so I actively adopted it for this design.
Chrysanthemum connection is a traditional Japanese pattern that includes auspicious meanings such as longevity, disease-free breathing, and nobility.
Personally, I really like this type and am very happy that I did a good job.
We would be grateful if you could try this work, which is packed with the essence of craftsmen who are careful about the taste and texture.
