"Ready for labor and defense of the USSR" (GTO in Russian) is a program of physical training in secondary and professional sports organizations in the USSR, in a single fundamental and state-supported system of Patriotic education of youth. Existed from 1931 to 1991. Covered the population aged from 10 to 60 years. In 2014, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the return of the system "Ready for labor and defense". The last all-Union sports GTO complex was approved by the decree of the Central Committee and USSR Council of Ministers on 17 January 1972 No. 61. It had 5 age stages (for each were set it`s own standards and requirements): level I — "Brave and clever" — 10-11 years and 12-13, II — "Sport shift" — 14-15 years, III — "Strength and courage" — 16-18 years, IV — "Physical perfection" — men 19-28 and 29-39 years, women from 19 to 28 and 29 to 34 years, V — "Cheerfulness and health" — men 40-60 years, women aged 35-55. These pin badges are Level II — "Sport shift" — 14-15 years. For example, to earn the "silver badges" boy needs to catch up 8 times, to run the 100 meters in 14.2 seconds. To get the "gold badge" the boy needs to catch up 12 times and run over a sprint in 12.5 seconds. Set of five pins. The badges are new. Made of aluminum.
