"Horsehair" is a fabric in which the hair of a horse's mane and tail is woven into the warp.
Only about 5m of fabric can be obtained from one horse, and due to its rarity, it has been used heavily for the highest grade formal bags.
The work of carefully weaving the horsehair as weft thread one by one,
Because it is done by hand, only about 10 cm can be woven in one hour.
There are very few workshops producing in Japan.
In making this cross-cut bag, we went directly to the production area and selected the color.
Usually, it is common to sew fabrics and leathers directly to make a bag shape,
This is made by piping the edges of the horse hair fabric with thin leather.
The beautiful curves are due to the delicate handiwork of skilled craftsmen.
It is a masterpiece packed with the high technology of craftsmen in each field of weaving and tailoring.
The handle is braided from pure silk, and the opening and piping are the best parts of genuine leather.
I use it seamlessly and luxuriously.
