This wheel-thrown tea bowl was made in my small pottery workshop here in Taiwan. My workshop overlooks the Yamingshan mountain which is a constant source of inspiration.
This pot was made from local Taiwanese clay and then a simple and humble clear glaze was applied.
I believe handmade pot should see evidence of the hand involved. This is why I etched and then painted a cherry blossom motif.
