All our Christian icons are created according to traditional Eastern Orthodox religious painting canons. We use only natural materials such as wooden board (oak, walnut or linden), gesso (chalk ground) and gold leaf for gilding. For paint, we use traditional egg tempera - pigment and egg yolk - to produce an authentic and long-lasting finish that is sealed with protective varnish.
