★ MATERIALS AND TOOLS :
- Yarn: YarnArt Etamin (acrylic, 30g ~ 180m), color: white (№421), with my crochet density it took a whole 1 skein; you will also need some white and black yarn Iris (Gamma or YarnArt) for the pendant; some yarn Alize Kid Royal (kid mohair/polyamide, 50g ~ 500m), black color for the ears. Also, a little black floss thread to embroider eyebrows, nose, claws.
The elements of the panda, as well as the trace of the paw on the pendant, are made in the form of thermal applique*
- Hook №1 (1mm) for main yarn, hook №0.8 (0.8mm) for mohair details and zipper “stitching”
- Additionally:
2 ovals from isolon (or foam rubber or thick foamiran...) to make soft inserts in the case (it is better to measure the size after the parts are crocheted, I got a detail size ~19.5х5.5cm); fabric cotton white 2pcs size 21x7cm
fluffy fabric (or felt) for applique
glue eyes Ø7mm
zipper 1pc, white color, at least 50 cm long (I used a hidden zipper, BUT you can use the usual; a contrasting black zipper is also suitable)
for pendant:
a piece of cardboard or plastic for pendant insert 1pc (it is better to measure the size after the parts are crocheted, I got a circle ~ Ø28mm);
1pc the same circle cut out of isolon (or foam rubber or thick foamiran...);
chain 3cm long and 2 metal rings Ø7mm;
a small piece of velvet fabric (or felt) for applique, black and pink color
- Sewing white thread, sewing machine, flexible tape measure, needle, safety pins, scissors, Moment Crystal glue, hot glue, pliers.
