Originally a very special model for contest listings, the Metamorphosis Rock Glass has been redesigned to fit the size of the wine glass campus.
I have decided on the intent of the design, but I felt that the appearance of complex designs would change depending on the viewer, so I decided not to give it a specific name.
And I named it a design that changes depending on the viewer, that is, metamorphosis.
Metamorphosis means that when the larva pupa becomes an adult butterfly, the body structure changes like a completely different organism.
Since the size of the campus is completely different between rock glass and wine glass, we are adjusting the design.
Compared to rock glass molds
・ Changed to an oval shape that rounds the corners
・ The height of the mouth is raised by 3 mm.
・ Eliminate thin lines
We are making adjustments.
The circumference is a little narrower than the rock glass, so I eliminated the thin lines.
By doing so, we are trying to improve the color and the salted plums in the cut part by increasing the color residue on the side.
Three kinds of traditional patterns are arranged on the side.
From the left, hemp leaves, Kikukagome, and Kikutsunagi.
In particular, Kikugome and Kikutsugi are the most difficult to cut among traditional patterns.
Moreover, the size is reduced to about half the normal size of our workshop, so you can feel the height of the grade.
As the size becomes smaller, not only the number of cuts increases sharply, but also the difficulty of cutting increases dramatically because the work is like threading a thread through the hole of the needle.
Imagine.
If you say that you have done the work of threading the thread through the hole of the needle 350 times or more without making a mistake, you can understand the physical and mental difficulties.
I scraped about 10 patterns on the mouth, but I decided that rubbing in a semicircle would give the best mouthfeel, so I chose this shape.
I'd like you to drink water first, but I'm surprised that just water feels very delicious.
The cuts on the sides and the ellipse at the bottom are made with a fairly deep cut in consideration of the feel.
I think that you can feel the pleasantness of the texture peculiar to Kiriko.
Not only the beauty of the appearance, but also the mouthfeel and texture, it will be the highest quality design of our workshop.
Although the price is high, the work man-hours are quite high, and I think that the finished product is worth the value.

The Kiriko of our workshop is polished using the traditional method of Edo Kiriko, "hand polishing", which maintains the strength of the glass and finishes it with high quality.
On the other hand, there are some things in the world that polish the glass while immersing it in an acid called "acid polishing" and melting the entire glass into pieces.
Acid-polished ones have the disadvantages of being easily scratched and the color may fade, but since the man-hours can be reduced and the price can be sold at a low price, sales will improve, so many workshops and writers perform acid-polishing. We are here.
Since the cut surface of our workshop is polished one by one, the original strength of the glass is not lost, and you can wash it with a detergent or scrubbing brush.
Hot water, microwave and dishwasher cannot be used like other glassware
