Brooch of Madame Bomboniere

A brooch inspired by ballet and the Nutcracker. When I was little, I watched a video of the Nutcracker at my parents' house. As Christmas approaches, it is performed by various ballet companies. This piece is one of my favorite performances! A bonbonniere is a container for sugar confectionery (bonbons). Cute children dressed as candy bonbons There is a scene where she energetically jumps out of her skirt and dances It's so nice that I made this brooch. Using a single piece of Embroidery thread on an organdy base, each stitch is carefully embroidered. The lady's dress is light purple. I added dark purple borders and embroidery here and there as accents. The skirt part is wavy with a silk ribbon, It is fastened with pearls and pink beads. The hem has plenty of gathered lace. From the slit in the skirt, a baby rabbit wearing a pink costume is peeking out as if waiting for her turn. The back side is made of white synthetic leather, and the edges are stitched with silver metallic thread. The brooch metal fittings adopted a type called a rotating pin. The needle can be moved only when worn, and can be locked to prevent it from popping out at other times. The total weight is about 4g (4 1-yen coins), making it a very light brooch. I would be happy if you could wear it when you go to the theater, attach it to your lesson bag, or decorate it in a corner of your desk and enjoy it when you spend your time at home. *We use delicate thread. Please refrain from strong friction and water, and handle with care. *All processes, from design copying to embroidery and metal fittings, are made by hand with all our heart.
