**FUJI EDO KIRIKO**
Edo, the original name of present-day Tokyo, is known for the exquisite traditional art of Edo Kiriko Cut Glass.This Fuji Kiriko Vessel has been hand-carved in the likeness of Mt. Fuji using the classic, traditional Edo techniques.
With precise and elaborate cuts representing Mt. Fuji’s snow-covered peak, the Kiriko artisans are able to portraythe colorful faces of Japan’s sacred mountain in the characteristic Kiriko colors of “ruri” (lapis lazuli blue), and “beni” (ruby red).
