I have a favorite bento box, but I can't find a chopstick box. Many of them are made of plastic materials, and even if you look for wood or bamboo materials, there are few lacquer-finished ones, and the designs and specifications seem to be limited. This chopstick case was made and handled before, but the thin lid sometimes warped, so production was stopped for a while. We received a lot of requests, changed the specifications, and decided to reproduce it. By making the lid a little thicker, it has been improved to prevent warping. Other than the thickness of the lid, the size and specifications of the box body are the same. This chopstick box was originally made as part of the same yosetake box/lunch box series. Although we do not currently handle jubako and bento boxes, we received feedback from customers who chose Magewappa at PINT that they wanted a chopstick box that goes well with their bento boxes. Of course, it's not limited to Magewappa, but this wiping lacquer chopstick box goes well with wooden or bamboo bento boxes. Made of a single material, it is finished with wiped lacquer on bamboo. Yosetake is laminated bamboo lumber. Bamboo is very strong in the fiber direction, but it is not possible to make a large surface from the bamboo material itself. By using laminated lumber, we were able to achieve a thinness that cannot be achieved with wood. It's about 3mm thick, so it looks neat. Since it is wiped lacquer finish, it is resistant to oil and moisture. Lacquer has antibacterial and bactericidal properties, so it is a safe material for chopstick boxes as well as bento boxes. A square box body and a flat lid with thinly shaved edges. It is made with a simple structure that does not exist any more. By fitting the unevenness of the lid to the main body, it fits perfectly.
