Katakuchi

This wheel-thrown sake tokkuri/chahai/katakuchi was made in my small pottery workshop here in Taiwan. My workshop overlooks Yamingshan mountain which is a constant source of inspiration. This pot was made from local Taiwanese clay and then a traditional Japanese shino glaze was applied. I also dusted wood ash over the glaze which resulted in some golden 'flowers'. My seal is stamped at the base of this pot. Be the owner of a handmade pottery katakutchi made from the beautiful island of Taiwan.
