Hand-making small pottery Hiyoko by Manju(*) mold which I inherited by an old Japanese confectioner.
It is weighted heavily as inside filled with soil.
(*Japanese steamed bun filled with sweet bean paste)
This is a standard "SHIROMARU" series (polished).
It has a pattern that imaged hydrangea and rain in the wing part.
It'll be prettier to put on your desk or on the shelf.
In my case, put it on the papers or the cards as use it as the paper weight.
There is slender Hiyoko, little fat Hiyoko, even Hiyoko made by the same mold.
Depending on conditions and adjustments when I made.
Sometimes body tilted to the right or left ... they have their own personalities,
hope you'll find a favorite one.
