二十世纪现代主义与女性主义先驱吴尔芙，洞悉一战背景下对集体心理冲击，人群疏离而焦虑等内在情绪。战后西方社会文化上严重的冲击，在服装也产生剧烈的变化。新艺术运动的褪色，女性服装获得解放，挣脱机能性服装，跃上摩登舞台，纸胶带上的配饰花样正呈现女作家笔下当代女性服饰风貌。
20th century modernist and feminist pioneer Virginia Woolf witnessed the damage on collectivism that World War I brought, and the insecurities of people separated from each other. Postwar Western culture suffered great shocks especially in fashion. As Art Nouveau faded, women’s clothing was liberated from functionality and took center stage. The design reflects the women’s fashions of the time.
