在阵头活动中，是气氛最神秘、威吓的一支队伍！
八家将缘自中国民间信仰及神话，是五福王爷幕府专责捉邪驱鬼的八位将军，亦是阴间神只，担任主神的随扈。后来演变成阵头队伍之一，属于文武阵中的武阵。负责捉拿鬼怪妖邪，也有解运祈安、安宅镇煞的功能，具有强烈的宗教性质，阵头气氛也常显得神秘、威赫、严肃。
谢爷－谢将军又称七爷、高爷，名为谢必安，负责捉拿鬼魂妖邪。
范爷－范将军又称八爷、矮爷，名为范无救，负责捉拿鬼魂妖邪。
什役－又有称为刑具爷。肩担刑具、法器，在阵前引导前进，勘查前行路况。
春大神－着青袍，画龙面(莲)，负责审问被捉拿的鬼魂，职在泼醒罪犯。
文差爷－负责承转主神号令者，文差负责接令、武差负责传令。

The Eight Infernal Generals have originated from Chinese folk religion and myths. They are the eight generals sent by the Great Emperor of the Five Blessings to catch demons and expel evils, and are infernal deities serving as attendants of the main deity. As part of the procession of worshippers, they are responsible for catching demons and evil spirits, reversing bad luck, prayers of safety and protecting households, and often appear mysterious, fearsome and forbidding.
General Xie– Named XieBian, and also known as Master Seven or Master Tall, is responsible for catching demons and evil spirits.
General Fan – Named Fan Wujiu, and also known as Master Eight or Master Short, is responsible for catching demons and evil spirits.
Shiyi– Also known as God of Torture Instruments. Carrying torture instruments and tools of justice over his shoulders, he leads the parade formation and surveys the road ahead.
Spring God - Wearing a green robe and painted dragon face (also known as lotus face), he is in charge of interrogating evil spirits caught and waking prisoners.
Wen Chai - In charge of conveying orders from the main deity.
